Crewmember activity in the shuttle middeck

STS091-780-001 (2-12 June 1998) --- Cosmonaut Valery V. Ryumin, mission specialist representing the Russian Space Agency (RSA), organizes a meal on the mid deck of the Earth-orbiting Space Shuttle Discovery. The galley is located at the corner of the mid deck lockers. Ryumin was headed toward a brief visit to RSA's Mir space station, joining five other Discovery crew members assigned to retrieve astronaut Andrew S.W. Thomas from the Mir. Since 1992, Ryumin has been the Director of the Russian portion of the Shuttle-Mir and NASA-Mir program.
