S91-26676 (23 Jan 1991) --- The five mission specialists assigned to the STS-39 Shuttle mission are pictured during a pre-flight press briefing. Pictured left to right are Astronauts Guion (Guy) S. Bluford, C. Lacy Veach, Gregory J. Harbaugh, Richard J. Hieb and Donald R. McMonagle. McMonagle uses models to demonstrate deployment of the infrared background signature survey (IBSS) satellite.
