Easily recognized is the Manipulator Flight Demonstration (MFD), which is sponsored by Japan's National Space Development Agency (NASDA). MFD will evaluate the use of the Small Fine Arm (SFA) that is planned to be part of the future Japanese Experiment Module's Remote Manipulator System (RMS) on the International Space Station (ISS). The photograph was taken with the Electronic Still Camera (ESC).
