Gordon Fullerton, one of a group of eight astronauts named to fly the first few orbital flight tests of the space transportation system, gets ready to participate in a training session for emergency egress from a space shuttle vehicle at the launch pad. He is wearing a USAF modified high altitude pressure garment like those to be worn by shuttle crew members at takeoff and landing.
