STS-26 Commander Hauck with launch and entry suits (LESs) on OV-103's middeck
STS026-05-022 (5 Oct 1988) --- Astronaut Frederick H. (Rick) Hauck, commander, rehearses the donning of the new orange partial pressure suit which he and the other four crewmembers will put on just prior to the entry phase of the flight. The suit made its debut for the launch phase three days earlier; however the crew had the advantage of a one-G environment for the chore on that occasion.
