This visualization follows the trajectory of the Orion spacecraft during the April 6 flyby, showing the expected illumination conditions as the crew conducts lunar observations. Lighting will shift throughout the pass based on the positions of the Sun, Moon, and spacecraft—revealing both familiar nearside terrain and portions of the farside not visible from Earth, and helping guide real-time scientific observations.
