During a briefing Saturday afternoon, LeRoy Cain announced the scrub of the STS-115 launch for Sunday, Aug. 27, 2006 due to a lightning strike at the pad on Friday. The Mission Management Team needs more time to review its data to make sure no ground or flight systems were affected. Launch is now set for no earlier than Monday, Aug. 28. Atlantis will fly on mission STS-115 with a crew of six to deliver and install the P3_P4 segment to the port side of the integrated truss system on the orbital outpost. STS-115 is expected to last 11 days and includes three scheduled spacewalks.
