NASA Astronaut Candidate Lauren Edgar discusses her hometown, what inspired her to become an astronaut candidate, what it was like to get the acceptance call, and what she most looks forward to about her training. Edgar was selected by NASA to become an astronaut candidate in 2025 and will go on to complete nearly two years of training before she can graduate as a flight-eligible astronaut. She reported for duty in September.
