Aboard the International Space Station, NASA astronauts Raja Chari, Tom Marshburn, Kayla Barron and ESA (European Space Agency) astronaut Matthias Maurer prepared to departed the space station following a hatch closure of the SpaceX Crew Dragon Endurance on May 4. Chari, Marshburn, Barron, and Maurer undocked from the space station May 5, wrapping up their six-month mission living and working aboard the microgravity laboratory to advance scientific knowledge and demonstrate new technologies for future human and robotic exploration missions as part of NASA’s Moon and Mars exploration approach, including lunar missions through NASA’s Artemis program.
