jsc2022e072964 (2/7/2022) --- A view of plants inside NASA's Kennedy Space Center’s Advanced Plant Habitat with two of the four seed bags (for collecting the seeds on orbit) installed over the plants. The flower stalks will grow up into the confines of the bags and be contained to their growth quadrant. For the Plant Habitat-03 investigation, seeds produced in orbit by space-grown plants will be returned to Earth, processed, and flown back to space. These seeds will help determine whether second generation space adaptations continue to build up or stabilize. Image courtesy of Dr. Anna-Lisa Paul.
