Orion Underway Recovery Tests 3 & 4

Recovery team members secure a test version of Orion in the Pacific Ocean on Sept. 12, 2014. A combined NASA and U.S. Navy team practiced recovery techniques off the coast of California over the course of the next week -- first with the crane, as seen here, then using the USS Anchorage's well deck -- in preparation for Exploration Flight Test-1 (EFT-1).
