The White Sands Test Facility has the capability to perform gaseous fluid impact testing for ignition susceptibility. In the oxygen wetting ignition sensitivity evaluation test system, space suit and ISS oxygen system components are exposed to the potential risk of oxygen pneumatic impact to ensure material and component design robustness.
