Kelly and Kornienko will launch from Baikonur in March 2015 to spend a full year on the International Space Station. They are backups to Barry Wilmore of NASA, Alexander Samokutyaev of the Russian Federal Space Agency (Roscosmos) and Elena Serova of Roscosmos. Wilmore, Samokutyaev and Serova will launch on Sept. 26, Kazakh time, in the Soyuz TMA-14M spacecraft to begin a 5 ½ month mission on the station.
