
1069: At the Kremlin Wall in Moscow’s Red Square, Expedition 40/41 Soyuz Commander Max Suraev of the Russian Federal Space Agency (Roscosmos) lays flowers May 8 at the spot where Yuri Gagarin, the first human to fly in space, is interred.
