
With St. Basil’s Cathedral in the background, Expedition 32/33 Soyuz Commander Yuri Malenchenko laid flowers at the Kremlin Wall in Red Square in Moscow where Russian space icons are interred June 22, 2012 as part of the traditional ceremonies prior to launch July 15 to the International Space Station. Malenchenko, along with NASA Flight Engineer Sunita Williams and Flight Engineer Aki Hoshide of the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency will fly to the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan July 2 for final preparations for their launch in the Soyuz TMA-05M spacecraft.
