Fincke had just completed configuring research hardware for the Zero Boil-Off Tank physics investigation, which explores methods for storing cryogenic fluids. The experiment supports advancements in spacecraft propulsion and life support systems, as well as biotechnological, medical, and industrial applications on Earth.
