Aboard the International Space Station, Roscosmos cosmonaut Alexey Ovchinin handed over command of the space station to JAXA (Japan Aerospace Agency) astronaut Takuya Onishi during a change of command ceremony April 18. Ovchinin and Onishi are both completing long-duration missions living and working aboard the microgravity laboratory to advance scientific knowledge and demonstrate new technologies for future human and robotic exploration missions.
