iss067e188976 (July 12, 2022) --- Wispy, noctilucent clouds are pictured blanketing the Earth's horizon as the International Space Station orbited 263 miles above the Sea of Okhotsk. Noctilucent clouds, or night shining clouds, are the highest clouds in Earth's atmosphere, composed of tiny water ice crystals, and are only visible when the sun is below the planet's horizon illuminating them.
