Expedition 63 Crew Hands over Space Station to Expedition 64 Command of the International Space Station was passed from NASA astronaut Chris Cassidy of NASA to Roscosmos cosmonaut Sergey Ryzhikov during a ceremony on the orbital outpost on Oct. 20. Cassidy is returning to Earth Oct. 22 with Expedition 63 crewmates Anatoly Ivanishin and Ivan Vagner of Roscosmos in the Soyuz MS-16 spacecraft for a landing on the steppe of Kazakhstan to complete a journey of 196 days in space. Ryzhikov remains on the station as commander of Expedition 64 with crewmates Sergey Kud-Sverchkov of Roscosmos and Kate Rubins of NASA.
