ASTRONAUT, COSMONAUTS DISCUSS FALL LAUNCH TO SPACE STATION NASA astronaut Kate Rubins and Roscosmos cosmonauts Sergey Ryzhikov and Sergey Kud-Sverchkov discussed their upcoming launch in the fall to the International Space Station during a news conference July 1 at the Johnson Space Center in Houston. The trio is scheduled to launch Oct. 14 aboard the Russian Soyuz MS-17 spacecraft from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan for a planned six-month mission on the orbital outpost. The mission will be the second for Rubins and Ryzhikov and the first for Kud-Sverchkov.
