SPACE STATION COMMANDER DISCUSSES LIFE IN SPACE WITH EUROPEAN STUDENTS Aboard the International Space Station, Expedition 61 Commander Luca Parmitano of ESA (European Space Agency) discussed the progress of his mission and research on the orbital outpost during an in-flight educational event Oct. 8 with aerospace students from various European universities. Parmitano assumed command of the station last week, becoming the third European commander of the complex as he continues his long-duration mission.
