Next Space Station Crew, Expedition 61, Prepares for Launch in Kazakhstan: The next space station crew and their backups are preparing for launch to the International Space Station from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan on September 25. Expedition 61 Soyuz Commander Oleg Skripochka of Roscosmos, NASA Flight Engineer Jessica Meir and Spaceflight Participant Hazzaa Ali Almansoori of the United Arab Emirates and their backups, Sergey Ryzhikov of Roscosmos, Tom Marshburn of NASA and Sultan Al-Neyadi of the United Arab Emirates participated in a variety of activities September 10-17. The footage includes the crew’s arrival in Baikonur, their Soyuz fit check in the Cosmodrome’s Integration Facility, the ceremonial Cosmonaut Hotel flag-raising ceremony, the crew’s traditional media day activities and other training milestones. Skripochka, Meir and Almansoori launch to the International Space Station from Baikonur in the Soyuz MS-15 spacecraft on September 25.
