SPACE STATION CREW DISCUSSES APOLLO AND SPACE STATION WITH THE MEDIA Aboard the International Space Station, Expedition 59 Flight Engineers Anne McClain and Christina Koch shared their thoughts on the impact of the Apollo Program on the cusp of the 50th anniversary of Apollo 11 landing on the moon and life and research on the orbital outpost during in-flight interviews June 17 with CNN and North Carolina’s “Our State Magazine.” McClain is in the final week of a six-and-a-half month mission on the orbital outpost, heading for a return to Earth on June 24 in a Russian Soyuz spacecraft. Koch, who is a native of North Carolina, is in the midst of a long duration mission on the station, conducting scientific research and station maintenance work.
