STS-101 preflight water survival bailout training at the NBL
S99-11112 (9 September 1999)--- Equipped with parachute gear, astronaut Edward T. Lu, mission specialist, simulates an emergency egress exercise during a training session at the Neutral Buoyancy Laboratory (NBL) near the Johnson Space Center (JSC). Lu will join four other astronauts and two cosmonauts for a mission next year to the International Space Station (ISS).
