PRELAUNCH - STS-8 - KSC
S83-39237 (6 Aug 1983) --- The five astronaut crewmembers of NASA?s STS-8 mission leave the operations and checkout building at the Kennedy Space during a rehearsal for their August 30 launch at KSC?s launch complex 39. They are, from the right, Astronauts Richard H. Truly, commander; Daniel C. Brandenstein, pilot; and Guion S. Bluford, Dale A. Gardner and William E. Thornton, all mission specialists.
