
STS109-E-5651 (6 March 2002) --- Astronaut John M. Grunsfeld, payload commander, has donned his extravehicular mobility unit (EMU) space suit and appears ready to begin the middle of five scheduled STS-109 space walks to perform work on the Hubble Space Telescope (HST). Astronauts Grunsfeld and Richard M. Linnehan are scheduled for three shared days of extravehicular activity (EVA). The two mission specialists shared an extravehicular activity (EVA) just two days ago, successfully replacing the starboard solar array on the Hubble.
