MS Linnehan checks airlock hatch on middeck

STS109-E-5602 (5 March 2002) --- Astronaut Richard M. Linnehan, mission specialist, checks the airlock hatch as two crewmates on the other side, equipped with extravehicular mobility units (EMU) space suits, start their extravehicular activity (EVA). On the previous day astronauts Linnehan and John M. Grunsfeld replaced the starboard solar array on the Hubble Space Telescope (HST). This day's space walk went on to see astronauts James H. Newman and Michael J. Massimino replace the port solar array. Grunsfeld's suit, scheduled for two more space walks, is temporarily stowed on the mid deck floor at right.
