Araxa Mine, Brazil
The Araxa mine in southern Brazil produces more than 80% of the world's Niobium. Niobium is used as an alloying agent in steels and in high-tech applications, such as electric car batteries. Brazil currently has 98% of commercial Niobium reserves in the world.
