NASA's Curiosity captured this view of a slope with a steep incline, slippery sand, and wheel-size boulders – factors that together made it the most difficult climb of the rover's mission. This 360-degree mosaic is made up of 145 images that were stitched together after being sent back to Earth from Mars. The mosaic was captured by Curiosity's Mastcam on June 27, 2023, the 3,871st Martian day, or sol, of the mission. The color has been adjusted to match lighting conditions as the human eye would see them on Earth. https://photojournal.jpl.nasa.gov/catalog/PIA26012
