Logging in Northern California

In northern California, east of Mt. Shasta, the footprints of clear-cut logging activities are evident in this ASTER image. Newer logged-out parcels are brighter blue-green. Where secondary growth has started, the logged tracts appear "fuzzy." Note that some of the logged-out tracts are located within the Shasta National Forest.
