
Salalah is the second largest city in the Sultanate of Oman, located in the far southern tip of the country. Salalah reached its peak in the 13th century, thanks to the trade in frankincense and myrrh. From 1932 to 1970, it was the capital of the Sultanate of Muscat and Oman. The Port of Salalah is one of the most vital on the Arabian Peninsula.
