
Flecks of bright material can be seen in this image of Ceres, taken by NASA's Dawn spacecraft. The view is centered at approximately 13.7 degrees north latitude, 144 degrees east longitude. Dawn took this image on Dec. 19, 2015, from its low-altitude mapping orbit (LAMO), at an approximate altitude of 240 miles (385 kilometers) above Ceres.
