
Several different surface textures are evident in this image from NASA 2001 Mars Odyssey spacecraft. This complex region is located between Lycus Sulci to the south and Acheron Fossae to the north, all of which is just north of Olympus Mons. Both volcanic and tectonic processes combined to create this region.
