Sand Dunes - False Color
The THEMIS VIS camera contains 5 filters. Data from the filters can be used in many ways to create a false color image. These false color images may reveal subtle variations of the surface not easily identified in a single band image. This image from NASA 2001 Mars Odyssey spacecraft shows small dunes and sand located in and around an unnamed crater in Arabia Terra.
