Fire and Deforestation near the Xingu River
Numerous fires occurred near the headwaters of the Xingu River and the Xingu Indigenous Peoples Reserve in Mato Grosso, Brazil, during late June and early July, 2004, as seen by NASA Terra spacecraft.
