NASA’s vision for Advanced Air Mobility, or AAM, is to map out a safe, accessible, and affordable new air transportation system alongside industry partners, community partners and the FAA. For AAM operations and vehicles, safety is the number one priority. NASA is helping to make sure that AAM vehicles and concepts are safe by using research in both design safety and operational safety. In this episode of NASA's Advanced Air Mobility Playbook, System-Wide Safety Sub-Project Manager Natasha Neogi explains the ways that NASA's safety research will impact the future of AAM.
