The Santa Susana Field Laboratory (SSFL) is located on 2,850 acres in the Simi Hills, nearly thirty miles northwest of downtown Los Angeles, California, in southeastern Ventura County. NASA used the facility for rocket engine testing and those activities have since ceased. This video highlights NASA’s environmental cleanup activities at the site and NASA’s priority of protecting human health, safety, and the environment.
