KENNEDY SPACE CENTER, FLA. -- Near the turn basin in the Launch Complex 39 area, a staged mass casualty exercise involves employees playing roles of victims (on the ground or in the bleachers) and a sniper (man in black at right). The exercise, simulating a sniper attack, was staged to validate capabilities of KSC’s fire, medical helicopter transport and security personnel to respond to such an event.
