
Mack McKinney, chief, program resources management at NASA and chairperson for African-American History Month, presents a plaque to Bhetty Waldron at the kick-off ceremony of African-American History Month on Feb. 3 at the NASA Training Auditorium. The award was given in thanks for Waldron’s portrayal of Dr. Mary McLeod Bethune and Zora Neal Hurston during the ceremony. The theme for this year’s observation is "Heritage and Horizons: The African-American Legacy and the Challenges of the 21st Century."
