The astronauts are in the Operations and Checkout Building as part of the Terminal Countdown Demonstration Test (TCDT) activities. Mission STS-88 is targeted for launch on Dec. 3, 1998. It is the first U.S. flight for the assembly of the International Space Station. The Space Shuttle Endeavour will carry the six-member crew and the Unity connecting module with its two attached pressurized mating adapters
