In observance of NASA’s Day of Remembrance on Thursday, Jan. 22, 2026, the agency’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida and the Astronauts Memorial Foundation held a ceremony at the Space Shuttle Atlantis building at Kennedy’s Visitor Complex. The event included musical guests, a bell ringing commemoration, a moment of silence, and wreath-laying, as well as Kelvin Manning, deputy director at NASA Kennedy, and Bob Cabana, former NASA associate administrator and Kennedy center director, providing remarks during the ceremony.
