Representatives from NASA participate in a media event at the agency’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida on Sunday, Aug. 20, upon the arrival of NASA astronaut Jasmin Moghbeli, mission commander; ESA (European Space Agency) astronaut Andreas Mogensen, pilot; and mission specialists JAXA (Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency) astronaut Satoshi Furukawa and Roscosmos cosmonaut Konstantin Borisov in advance of NASA’s SpaceX Crew-7 mission to the International Space Station as part of NASA’s Commercial Crew Program. Participants include: Bill Nelson, administrator, NASA; Bob Cabana, associate administrator, NASA; Janet Petro, director, NASA’s Kennedy Space Center; Dana Hutcherson, deputy manager, NASA’s Commercial Crew Program; Eric van der Wal, lead, International Space Station Program Houston Office, ESA; Junichi Sakai, manager, International Space Station Program, JAXA. Launch is currently targeted for 3:49 a.m. EDT on Friday, Aug. 25. The SpaceX Dragon spacecraft, named Endurance, will launch on a Falcon 9 rocket from historic Launch Complex 39A at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida.
