Representatives from NASA, SpaceX, and the European Space Agency (ESA) participate in a news conference at the agency’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida on Wednesday, April 27, following the launch of NASA’s SpaceX Crew-4 mission to the International Space Station as part of NASA’s Commercial Crew Program. Participants include: Kathy Lueders, associate administrator, Space Operations Mission Directorate, NASA Headquarters; Steve Stich, manager, Commercial Crew Program, NASA's Johnson Space Center; Joel Montalbano, manager, International Space Station, NASA Johnson; Jessica Jensen, vice president, customer operations and integration, SpaceX; Josef Aschbacher, director general, ESA. The SpaceX Crew Dragon, Freedom, carrying NASA astronauts Kjell Lindgren, mission commander, Bob Hines, pilot, and Jessica Watkins mission specialist and ESA (European Space Agency) astronaut Samantha Cristoforetti, also a mission specialist, launched at 3:52 a.m. EDT, on a Falcon 9 rocket from Launch Complex 39A at Kennedy.
