Lucy Engineering with representatives from NASA, Lockheed Martin Space, and KinetX Aerospace. Lucy, NASA’s first mission to explore the Trojan Asteroids, is set to launch on a United Launch Alliance Atlas V rocket from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida on Oct. 16. The launch is managed by NASA’s Launch Services Program based at Kennedy Space Center. The participants include Joan Salute, associate director for flight programs, Planetary Science Division, NASA Headquarters; Jessica Lounsbury, Lucy project systems engineer, Goddard; Katie Oakman, Lucy structures and mechanisms lead, Lockheed Martin Space; and Coralie Adam, deputy navigation team chief, KinetX Aerospace.
