NASA astronaut Victor Glover stands inside Kennedy Space Center’s Vehicle Assembly Building on July 15, 2021, near the agency’s Space Launch System (SLS) rocket that will power the Orion spacecraft on the Artemis I mission later this year. Artemis I will be a test of Orion and SLS as an integrated system ahead of crewed flights to the Moon. Under Artemis, NASA aims to land the first woman and first person of color on the Moon and establish long-term lunar exploration.
