Representatives from NASA, Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) and the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) participate in a briefing at the agency’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida on Friday, Nov. 13, 2020, in advance of NASA’s SpaceX Crew-1 mission to the International Space Station as part of NASA’s Commercial Crew Program. Participants include: NASA Administrator Jim Bridenstine; Steve Dickson, administrator; Federal Aviation Administration; Bob Cabana, director, Kennedy Space Center; Hiroshi Sasaki, vice president and director general, JAXA’s Human Spaceflight Technology Directorate; NASA astronaut Jonny Kim and NASA astronaut Sunita Williams. Launch is currently targeted for 7:49 p.m. EST Saturday, Nov. 14. The SpaceX Crew Dragon spacecraft, name Resilience by the Crew-1 astronauts, will launch on a Falcon 9 rocket from historic Launch Complex 39A at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida. The Crew-1 flight will carry Crew Dragon Commander Michael Hopkins, Pilot Victor Glover, and Mission Specialist Shannon Walker, all of NASA, along with Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) Mission Specialist Soichi Noguchi to the space station for a six-month science mission.
