Live coverage of the Mars 2020 Perseverance rover launch from NASA’s Kennedy Space Center and Cape Canaveral Air Force Station in Florida. JPL, which is managed by Caltech in Pasadena, is building and will manage operations of the Mars Perseverance rover for NASA. Mars 2020 is part of a larger Moon to Mars exploration approach that includes missions to the Moon as a way to prepare for human exploration of the Red Planet. Perseverance is scheduled to launch aboard a United Launch Alliance Atlas V rocket at 7:50 a.m. on Thursday, July 30, 2020 from Space Launch Complex 41 at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station. The Mars 2020 mission is managed by NASA’s Launch Services Program.
