NASA’s administrator joins astronauts and the Kennedy Space Center director to brief news media ahead of the launch of Boeing’s uncrewed Orbital Flight Test (OFT) to the International Space Station. OFT is Boeing’s CST-100 Starliner’s maiden mission to the space station for NASA’s Commercial Crew Program. The uncrewed mission will test the end-to-end capabilities of Starliner and United Launch Alliance’s Atlas V rocket from launch to docking to a return to Earth in the desert of the western United States. Launch is scheduled for Friday, Dec. 20 at 6:36 a.m. EDT from Space Launch Complex 41 at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station in Florida.
