NASA, Boeing and United Launch Alliance leaders brief news media following the Launch Readiness Review for Boeing’s uncrewed Orbital Flight Test (OFT) to the International Space Station. OFT is Boeing’s CST-100 Starliner’s maiden mission to the space station for NASA’s Commercial Crew Program. The uncrewed mission will test the end-to-end capabilities of Starliner and United Launch Alliance’s Atlas V rocket from launch to docking to a return to Earth in the desert of the western United States. Launch is targeted for Friday, Dec. 20. An instantaneous launch window will open at approximately 6:36 a.m. EDT, from Space Launch Complex 41 at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station in Florida.
