
Birds fly past the SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket standing on its seaside launch pad at Space Launch Complex 40 on Cape Canaveral Air Force Station in Florida. The rocket is set to launch NOAA’s Deep Space Climate Observatory spacecraft, or DSCOVR. The mission is a partnership between NOAA, NASA and the U.S. Air Force, and will maintain the nation's real-time solar wind monitoring capabilities.
